2007 Tim Tebow Florida Quarterback First sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. As a sophmore, broke the Southeastern conference record for rushing and total touchdowns: 55. A first-team All-American and AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year. First-team All-American in Sporting News, SI.com, CollegeFootballNews.com and Phil Steele. ESPN Magazine Academic All-American first-team selection. Has 51 season touchdowns, the most in school and SEC history, 29 passing and 22 rushing. In 2008 season (Jan/2009) the Gators, led by Tebow, played #1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners in the 2009 BCS National Championship Game, which they won 24–14.
