1997 Charles Woodson Michigan DB/Rcvr Charles Woodson was a 6'1" 197 pound standout Junior at Michigan, calling home Fremont Ohio. He was a standout cornerback, wide receiver and punt returner. In 35 consecutive starts, he has participated in 613 defensive and 69 offensive plays, and 83 on special teams. Against Ohio State, he was in on 52 percent of the tackles, and accounted for 52 rushing yards returning punts. During his senior season, he touched the ball 15 times offensively for nine first downs, and 3 touchdowns. Charles was Oakland Raiders top pick as cornerback for a reported $14.5m and $8m signing bonus, entering the draft after his Junior year at Michigan.
