THE HEISMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY

1967 Gary Beban UCLA Halfback Gary Beban Quarterbacked UCLA to 23 victories in his 3-year reign with the Bruins. He completed 240 of 454 passes for 4070 yards, 1280 himself and 35 TDs. Against USC he completed 16 out of 24 passes for 301 yards. His NFL career with the Redskins ended in 1970, when he joined CB Commercial, the nations leading real estate organization, to become President of the Madison Advisory Group in 1987. He and his wife Kathleen have two sons, Paul and Mark, and reside in Northbrook, Illinois. Elected to the NFF&C Hall of Fame in 1988.
