THE HEISMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY

1964 John Huarte NotreDame Qrtrback Although he played only 5 minutes as a sophomore and 45 minutes as a junior, John established nine Notre Dame records. He completed 114 of 205 passes for 2062 yards and 16 touchdowns for 18.1 ypp. After graduation, John played 8 years in the NFL and 2 years in the WFL. He is owner of 14 tile/marble stores in the West, which import marble/tile for residential use. He is married to the former Eileen Devine of New York City and they have five children and one grandson.
