Pete, the 69th Army football captain, and a polio victim, rushed for 1123 yards, threw 16 passes for 7 touchdowns, caught 27 passes for 716 yards and scored 158 points. Class President, he went on to attend Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, playing rugby. Later, he attended Princeton, receiving his MBA and PhD. In the Army, he rose to the rank of Brigadier General with commands in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. Pete retired after 24 years to partner in the Wall Street firm Lehman Brothers. He is currently CEO of Primerica Financial Services in Atlanta. Elected to the NFF&C Hall of Fame in 1975.
