THE HEISMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY

1946 Glenn Davis Army Halfback Glenn was "Mr. Outside" of the famed Davis-Blanchard duo. He scored 59 touchdowns and gained an amazing 4129 total yards. His single season average is 11.7, a current NCAA record. He averaged 58 minutes per game switching offense and defense. He served in the army in Korea in 1950. Then to the Rams, playing on two championship teams, where injuries cut his career short. He raised money for youth activites with the LA Times special events department. He is now retired and living in LaQuinta, CA. On July 12, 1996 he married Yvonne Ameche, Alan Ameche's widow. Elected to the NFF&C Hall of Fame in 1961.
