Les hit his peak his senior year with 924 yards on 163 carries for 5.7 average. He scored 12 touchdowns, completed 14 of 32 passes for 344 yards and 6 touchdowns. He kicked, passed, blocked, tackled for a perfect undefeated season. He graduated in 1945 with a degree in dentistry. He entered the Navy as a dentist and assistant coach under Paul Brown. He played 3 years in the Pros for the Rams and Browns and then established his dental practice in Los Angeles. Here he coached Bantam Football, winning league title for Glendale. Les passed away in November of 1995. Elected to the NFF&C Hall of Fame in 1969.
