THE HEISMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY

1942 Frank Sinkwich Georgia Halfback Frank was in Marine uniform when he accepted his Trophy. He still holds the Orange Bowl record-382 yards (13 passes for 243 yards and 3 TDs, and 139 yards rushing). He passed for 2331 yards during his college career. Frank played several Pro years and then coached at the University of Tampa for the '50-'51 season. As a beer distributor, he was elected President of the Georgia Beer Wholesalers in 1977. He was a member of University of Georgia Presidents Club, Outstanding Alumni, and Chamber of Commerce. Frank passed away on October 22, 1990. Elected to the NFF&C Hall of Fame in 1954.
